The star product: For those air-dry-and-done wash days, it doesn't get much better (or more lightweight) than Color Wow's Money Mist. “A lot of leave-in conditioners are way too heavy for my fine 2C to 3A curls, but that’s not the case with Money Mist," contributing commerce editor Deanna Pai attested, adding that the mist itself is easy to portion out. “There’s no working this in or waiting for it to sink in. There are the classics, like the Ultra line for fuss-free hydration for dry types, as well as more powerful resurfacing products like the Clearly Corrective Daily Re-Texturizing Triple Acid Peel and Retinol Skin-Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum (perfect for aging skin). You might be surprised to find a few hair-care goodies, too, like a travel-size shampoo and conditioner that might inspire your giftee to book their next trip. The possibilities are endless.
The star product: Don’t forget to show the skin below your neck some major love. A (very) good starting point: the Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream. While it’s definitely bougier than most cleansers, Tata Harper's The Regenerating Cleanser does double-duty as a cleanser and gentle exfoliator, thanks to chemical (fruit enzymes) and physical (apricot seed powder) exfoliants. “This creamy formula has just the tiniest bit of grit to it—just enough to slough off dead skin without it being irritating,” Dall’Asen, who has redness-prone skin, says. Consider this a proper trial before investing in the full-size bottle.
